JB Photography and Creative Services

Welcome!  I am a creative and technical writer, and have been working with Corel Draw and PhotoPaint now for twelve years doing custom artwork and graphics editing.  I am also familiar with a variety of other desktop layout packages and word processors and am an expert at Microsoft Word.

I do a lot of editing of digital images of photographs and can shoot stills with my Canon EOS 300D for custom projects as needed.  I had
taken film and art design in college so I have a background but am mostly self taught. One of my specialties is to take digital images such as the ones below, crop out the good parts and make images like the 'after' sample:

  BEFORE:    AFTER:

Electronic Cosmetic Surgery is what I call correcting blemishes and 'old age' problems after the fact.  In the
following sample a 14 year old Visla has her spine defects corrected, her chin tucked and some color added
back to her white mane, bringing her back close to her prime!  The original image was in a living room,
and the floor and background was causing her to 'wash out' very badly, even though the image itself was not
of bad quality.  A little cropping, some touchup and it's ready to be inserted onto any standard lighting scene!

I do this work mainly for enjoyment, but recently have begun accepting clients and doing work for others.  Since it IS part-time my
availability may vary for onsite work or photography sessions, but I can normally manage a very quick turn-around for editing work
that can be submitted electronically.   The price varies depending on job, but can be as cheap as $30 for a  simple cut and paste
or quick blemish correction.  I can even take the digital images for you if you are in the Dallas area. I enjoy
it so I'm much cheaper then many professional houses would be, and more likely to work with you to obtain the 'correct' end result
you are interested in.

One neat skill I offer my clients is to take their lower resolution or "problem" images and turn them into paintings of the original subject
.. amazing results can be had in just an hour or so if you are willing to take this approach, for example the following of my mother, and
of some lower res images super-imposed onto artwork based on a popular TV-Show:

The following image of a friend who is breaking into modeling was too low res to use for headshots or glossy 8x10's but served as a wonderful
inspiration for the following artwork, and yes Kerie would be interested if you want her for a project!  Provide me your contact and details and I will
be happy to forward any requests:

The following are samples of 'Digital costuming' where a face is superimposed on different backgrounds or into various
scenarios that might not be possible in real life:

I can also do custom artwork in Corel PhotoPaint or CorelDraw, a vector-based drawing package, the following are some examples of logos and artwork I have created using those packages:

Here are a few additional samples of some of my recent work. Each of these has at least THREE elements in them, the
background, the original master drawing and at least one other - if you can't tell which is which that's good!   NOTE: some of
these are from 'stock stills' so if you have a specific end goal  in mind we can stage and shoot with specific lighting to achieve better results ...
