 The Yamaha FJR-1300 "Super" Sport Tourer:

This was the bike I wanted, but was told was not to be released in the states.  Now everyone (but) me has one, and for the most part that's OK with me as my FZ1 'fuzzy wing' meets all my needs and is a little lighter and faster then the FJR anyway.  Since I put custom saddlebags on and a stereo system / bar risers etc. the FZ1 is more comfortable then an FJR (except for wind protection) anyway, and a LOT cheaper!

I still like this bike though, and now that they've announced an 'Automatic' version to be released in 2006 I wonder if they will add a stereo system and other "GoldWing killer" features to compete directly with the Wing?  For now the FJR remains a 'supersport tourer' that Honda doesn't really have a direct competitor for, the closes being the clunky ST-1300 and Yamaha continues to dominate.  Come on Honda, where's the 1-man Wing?
