Hwy 14
Ranchester to Cody, Wyoming. Located off
I-90 just a few miles south of the Montana/Wyoming state line, Route 14 is a
beautifully-twisty hill climb up the Bighorn Mountains. Plenty of sweeping (some
moderately fast) turns await your riding skills.
Westbound, heading towards Cody, WY, you're faced with a choice at the top:
- Stay on Route 14 and "slide" down the
other side into Greybull. Along the way there are some beautiful waterfalls
providing plenty of photo opportunities.
- Bear right at the top of the mountain
near Burgess Jct on Route 14A. Gorgeous vistas and an extremely twisty road to
the valley below. Be careful-- lots of turns without guard rails, and it's a
long way to the bottom!
