One lane each way, only a few park rangers, top of the appalachian mts chain all the way, dooable in one day but better in 2-3 days, curves tighten in north carolina with about 15 rock tunnels. Best road ever to get to know your bike. From Virginia / NC Border to Cherokee

Cherohala Skyway

52 miles of perfectly smooth pavement, no intersections, no towns, just scenic overlooks and so many curves you\'ll lose count. Between Robbinsville, NC, and Tellico Plains, TN. One of the best motorcycle roads in the country. You must ride this road.

Brushy Mountain Road.

If you like curvy roads, they don't come much better. Ends up on a small mountain overlooking Wilkesboro NC

State Road 80

Starts just west of Marion, NC and climbs toward Mt Mitchell. They followed a snake laying this road out.
