At the time I put these pages up I owned and rode a 1995 GL-1500 named PHOENIX (click link to see stories and customizations about this bike) and a 1992 CBR-600 I call HUSK.  Both were named after female X-Men characters. I have since sold the CBR and intended to trade in the Gold Wing on the new Honda ST-1300 in the summer of 2002 ... however I changed my mind and wound up with a Yamaha FZ1 instead.  This has proved to be a great bike and enabled me to give my 1500 to Gail with a sidecar attached so she could tote our dog along with her on long trips.  Due to all the changes I've made to the FZ1 I'm taking to calling it the "Fuzzy Wing" and stack all but the weather protection up to a Wing any day.  I DO miss the 'open air' radio but helmet speakers work well.

The Goal behind these pages:

I wanted to have a personal page of course, to brag about my bikes and tell some of the interesting tales my life has generated but mainly I wanted to create a resource for all the "tribal knowledge" about Honda Gold Wings that you normally learn only through trial and error or from other Gold Wing owners by word of mouth.  In each of the "tech" pages I try and put all the information I've discovered over the years under a "category" such as "suspension" or "Seats" in a manner that will allow someone to read various opinions and learned successes without bias.  In certain cases I may have failed, at which point I rely on you the readers to notify me.  I also will have sub-pages with details about recalls, technical bulletins and model-specific tips and modifications.
